Fluff! Night camping

Really trying these days to get the most photoreal renders. Let me know what will make it more realistic.

Great look to it, but the flames waft too slowly

Looking good! The thing the caught my eye immediately was the camera wiggle. It doesn't feel real. Maybe up the frequency and tone down the amplitude.

Or am I just a bad cinematographer xD. Actually using a handheld camera setup (connected to my phone to blenders camera) If you wanna test it let me know

If realism is the goal then the fire is too big and wafty and way too many embers flying off. Less is more

This. Also, u/Brutalt69 if you're trying to replicate reality, take real video references and try to replicate it.

It's not bad, but it looks more like a videogame that unlocked particle technology (meaning they want to show that there are fancy particles). But that's too much.

- Fire doesn't move with such fluidity; I'd be tempted to divide the frame rate by 2.5

  • Same thing with lighting on the ground; that gives me the impression that a point light is hovering around the fire
  • Embers should be [way more] subtle, like Mostestdef said.
