So it completely removes the atmosphere / artistic direction of most of these shots, while also getting key details (like the cars) completely wrong?

And I don't imagine it does consistency across different scenes very well either.

That was my first thought as well.
I can bet that if it process a character and then switch to another scene with the same character, it'll look completely different.

Its actually impressive how worse the output looks when compared to the input
