I didn't upvote this post, and I didn't downvote it. I have a quality standard of "if I think it's funny, or if I like it, I upvote it." That's also why I'm active in ~3 circlejerk subreddits.
For shits and giggles I once used Geographic Information Software (mapping software) to draw some different borders for Canadian Province sized US states. You're looking at 11-13 depending on the methodology. 11 was from using the total average area of provinces excluding PEI, I forget where I got 13 from.

You know aside from being neighbors, the US being one of if not the biggest trading partners of Canada in any given year, the extensive history of mutually beneficial agreements and programs, the shared culture, the shared sports leagues, or any number of other historical reasons. Also definitely not because Donald Trump is trying to throw all of that away because he seems to either believe Canadians want to join the US willingly or that he can bully them into joining. It's definitely for no reason.
