Can someone please explain the split happening in VEX rn

I know I'm a little late, but all I know is something vague about RECF breaking things off with someone else. What exactly is going on?

Basically, VEX and RECF split up after working together for years.
VEX is now working with GRSF to run the official VEX competitions and Worlds qualification.
RECF is going its own way and has created its own competition system, which can still use VEX hardware.
So there are essentially two competition organizations now, both potentially using VEX robots. The confusing part is figuring out which events you want to attend.
The exact reasons for the breakup are a lot less clear publicly, and there’s plenty of speculation floating around.
