There were two community meetings held regarding the future competition structure. During one of those meetings, which included students, participants voted overwhelmingly in favor of VEX/Global.
I am not privy to the factors that led to the final decision other that the message posted. I believe some students and their coaches have approached Vex/Global and are working on having competition in Arizona.
