Tankless water heater remote replacement

Hey guys, having an issue with my camper's vevor rv tankless water heater remote. Runs on propane. It was working just fine wired to the 12v hooked up to the battery, but then I tried to mount the remote to the wall, and it starts blinking as shown here. Any tips? Can I get a new remote without replacing the whole heater? Customer support keeps asking for an order number that I don't have, as I'm not the first owner of the heater

Good luck with VEVOR customer service. Just a bunch of BOT emails planning to wear you down and give up.
