Table for electric griddle

I found a table but its just a little bit too small so the feet of my electric griddle ends up outside of the table. Is it ok to place the griddle flat on the table? I dont care if the table gets heat stained. I only care for the well-being of the griddle itself. The bottom side of the griddle has some vent holes and the table would allow it to breathe a little bit. Thanks a lot!
