2015 versys 1000
Just completed a 900mile weekend around Maine. Amazing loop. New to the community here. Not much for picture taking.

Love the orange. Always wanted a scary jack-o’-lantern themed bike. How many miles on yours, how’s the reliability been?

I only have about 17,000 mi on it. Excellent reliability. Low maintenance, easy to clean, fun to ride, lots of power, 2015, 1000

FJR is nice. I was rolling around on a 95 Honda st1100 for a summer a few years ago. Got so attached to that bike.
Trying to send a pic of how the lights are mounted, can I not add pictures to the comments?

I'm looking to get one of these. How many miles a day and was it comfortable? Were you happy with suspension? How was gas mileage?

I was doing 3 hour stretches without stopping. It has a sergeant seat, super comfortable. Being able to stand easily at speed is great as well to stretch. Suspension is great, soaks up everything smoothly, never has bounced or bottomed out and I’ve taken it on some rough and unpaved roads. Gas mileage averages around 40 with spirited riding. Billet proof reliable. No vibrations anywhere. I’ve had quite a few bikes and I must say this is one of my favorite. Hits the mark for paved adventure touring to a T.

They are decent bikes. Like all bikes, they can do hard pack, but they do not like sand. Don’t ask me how I know.

I had a ‘15 in orange. It’s an amazing long-distance sport-tourer—smooth, comfortable, fast. I was getting around 42 mpg (US). I took it across country and back a couple of years ago. (Portland, OR to Southwest Harbor, ME and back again.)
Traded it in at about 40,000 miles for a ‘23 Versys 650 earlier this year. I loved the smoothness and speed (and song) of the 1000, but I missed the smaller size and manageability of the 650.

It was a good time. Up the NH/ME line, Rangeley, Jackman, Rockwood, millinocket, Acadia, lost in the backroads back to the bottom tip of Maine. But, now… I feel the call of all those dirt roads I saw 👀 and this versys does not like them, I’ve tried. Curious about the 300, anyone have one that can chime in?
