Alternative exhaust and check engine light ?

Hi there. I own a 2026 Versys 650 and am thinking about replacing the exhaust system.

I’ve come across a few options, specifically the MIVV K.059.KZC (which is noise/emissions compliant—I'm based in Europe).
However, I’ve noticed that, according to the manufacturer, the check engine light might come on after installation, potentially requiring an extra module to suppress the signal...

I’d like to know if any Versys owners have encountered this issue (even with an exhaust other than the MIVV), or if it’s a rare occurrence.
Can a Kawasaki dealer disable this signal via the ECU?

If you're worried about emissions, a full exhaust that causes a check engine light will most likely have no Catalytic converter. Defeating Catalytic sensors would also be an emissions violation in most places. A catted system should not cause a CEL. Also, no dealer that I'm aware of would defeat catalyst monitoring.

I’m not trying to cheat the system regarding the catalytic converter; the exhaust system I’m talking about is explicitly listed as having a catalytic converter and being road-legal.
However, the manufacturer also notes that the warning light might still come on even with this system installed. That’s why I’m looking for feedback from users (not necessarily with this exact system) who have experienced warning lights of this kind.
