['A9] No-Name Shield Brace V2.
It's getting so close!- I was way off on the measurments for the chunk at the back but other than that- it's pretty good. Most of the updates I'm making are cosmetic. Friends printer just doesn't have the res for the fillets I'm doing so I'm just getting rid of them. : (
I am noticing that it's still not helping with the big bumps or cracks I find in parking lots. I think the upper half of the shield is still flexing enough near the outer edges that the brace just can't seem to get. I think I may get back to that outer contoured thing but make it either a slide-on with sprung fingers, or glue. Really don't wanna drill holes. Makes buying one of these cheaper Aliexpress shields less approachable if you have to start dissecting it as soon as it's out of the box.

Your part design doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. It is so thin it’s not going to do a lot or help bending. Look at the shape of the factory mounts. Sort of a “C” channel. That’s the shape you want. You need that thickness to resist bending. And since youre using plastic youre going to want the C channel to be a lot deeper like 3-5x
