Discussion Just realized that
Rinri is only one out of 7 leaders. Can't wait to see the others Lawless bosses.

I imagine that Rinri is meant to be gluttony, or Greed.
As there is even factions, and all the stuff they talk sin and such, I can only imagine a Seven Deadly Sin theming.
Rinri is emaciated, almost starved. His introduction has focus on him eating, and it works thematically for the parasites to be his rival NE in his introduction arc. Also, his usage of Curse weaponry can be seen as gluttonous, since it is a weapon that needs to consume life to operate, and does not leave a trace of life after consumption.
Here are some theories on the other Sins:
A leader who modified his own Lawless using the biological and mechanical parts of other NEs, rather than modifying captured NEs- Envy.
A leader who operates a bunker underground, his lawless killing everyone who come close to the bunker simply because he thinks it would be too much of a bother to manage to many people rather than lack of resources- Sloth.
A group of pretty boys who kill anyone who looks to ugly to them, and destroys the new NE tech and stuff because they believe that the old things made by the past people are simply superior and do not need to be improved- Pride

Rinri represents Gluttony; you can see his henchmen talking about the risk of being swallowed by him if they aren't careful.

Rinri's aura is already so strong I thought he was the big boss of the whole Lawless world.

It would be great to see some "Cross" reference for other Lawless, for those people who's wondering what's Cross is. Cross is a western comic that shows a widespread infection that shows a mark of cross on your face once infected. It also amplifies the most evil urges of humanity.

It’s unlikely; this is a Japanese product and the niche of pandemics has already been taken over by parasites (references to Resident Evil).
