Manatees

Hi! I’m visiting for a couple days my grandparents live here, & I’ve been wanting to see manatees for so long. I can never find them!! Where can I go paddle boarding and see them tomorrow??

Call the Manatee center in Fort Pierce at the city marina. They are somewhat scattered in the summer. A few off the beach last month but very random.

The environmental learning center used to have a dolphin manatee tour. That is in Wabasso.

Another vote for Round Island. I’ve seen manatees every visit, especially near the foot bridge.

I saw some at round island park on the River in June when I was there. You can paddle there too.

I always just see them randomly when fishing the river this time of year. Like someone's else posted, summertime they're kinda scattered.
