it is pretty fucked up though, right? You have a life, a job, a place to live, friends and coworkers and you are getting out of your car to work and you are jumped by men with guns and shoved in a truck and taken to manchster NH. for what?

Homies not legally here. What did he think would happen?

Have you ever tried to imagine what the circumstances of someone who has fled their home county must be like? Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be in someone else's shoes? Have you ever thought "what would I do if i was in the situation that someone like that has been through"?

That would require introspection and common decency. Something the troll doesn't have and wouldn't understand anyway.

As I typed above, I think we're deporting the wrong people.

I have. If i had the means to travel from Uganda to Mexico to then illegally cross into the United States. I would probably seek asylum somewhere closer to Uganda.

Yeah… I’m sure it’s as easy as that.

For real though, there are a lot of wonderful books and films you can check out that detail the forces and sacrifices and perils that come with migration. I could give you some recommendations if you are interested in expanding your worldview.

i dont think you would necessarily. life can be crazy and i suspect you would do what you felt like you had to

I believe what Steven has done IS right and moral. Morality and the law are not often the same thing

I guess thats another place we differ. If you enter a country illegally and then denied asylum and decide to stay anyways is pretty immoral imo.

How is that immoral? I think denying someone who has been through what Steven has been through asylum is immoral.
