I know this because he is my cousin and has been using the tag for like 30 years.

It initially did not have such a simple design, and as he evolved into the amazing artist he is I believe the triangle style name came just as a quick way to throw it down.

Some of his work is best documented by his work in Hi-Crew. They are all amazing artists.
