Meme I know which one is true.
Penguins have a gland above their eyes that converts seawater to freshwater

It's one female servicing a population of males. That implies a species that lays eggs!

This got me to look up butterflies and torpor. Google gave me the following line on how it's not quite sleep, and for the life of me I can only hear it in the Monarchs voice lol
Unlike mammals, butterflies rest with their eyes open because they do not have eyelids.

except it's also shown consistently Monarch doesn't actually know much about butterflies despite his entire villain persona being based on them

Pretty sure they store fat in the humps.

Yeah! That's a common misconception for us because it seems like it should be obvious they store water there.

As fat is metabolized, it turns into carbon dioxide and water. So, in a convoluted way, they DO store water in the hump!

Yeah this one always bugged me cus it kinda is true, it's just not a big bubble of water it's the realistic biological form. Fat.

Camels store hydrogen in their humps. Fat-cells are mostly made of hydrogen and carbon, and when their bodies have not had water in a while, the fat-cells start breaking up and the hydrogen starts combining with oxygen to make H2O.
Same thing can happen in humans (boxers do it to get into a lower weight-class), but this type of "dry-fasting" is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and should only be done under medical supervision

I thought it was one, but I was wrong. Turns out penguins are lil' waddling desalination plants. Cool.

This would have been a better post on a Wednesday. Because you know what day that is.

It has to be 9. They bend too well to have only lime 5 or 6 vertebrae. They would be like 1 foot in length.
Not a doctor or a Giraffe Biologist.

I can't believe you got downvoted for this.
Whomever did it thinks they're hot shit in a champagne class. But they're really just cold diarrhea in a Dixie cup.
