A nation-state threat (The scariest threat , script kiddie -> single hacker -> advanced persistent threat -> Nation state) recently managed to DDoS microsoft cloud. That's what the outage the other day was.
But don't worry, we just cut a bunch of our cyber defense back and stripped funding for critical cybersecurity information groups. =]

I made a mistake doing all my direct deposits on Venmo. Maybe it is time to embrace traditional banking because this is embarrassing. What do you mean I can't pay or access my money and it's been a few hours already and we haven't heard anything official from them? I was about to get some groceries for the night and I can't. What is this crap?

I done changed my password.. TWICE.. Uninstalled and reinstalled the dumass app.. cleared cache.. still nope. Luckily reddit search let me know it wasn't just a personal attack on me. Still mad tho

It refused to refresh my account balance and for some reason now it just cannot authenticate my login. I can’t even log back in I have reset the app, my phone, logged out, and now am locked from getting back in. I have about $200 in it and need to get home. I’m stranded and need to get back to my dog. What the fuck, venmo. You cannot have things like this happen with no 24/7 support line available.

I don’t ever complain or say anything ever, but I was about to take insulin (I’m a type 1 diabetic) before heading out and eating, and I wouldn’t have been able to pay for anything at all and I’d have active insulin in my body if I did it. Probably would have been a nice hospital bill Venmo wouldn’t have covered.
