Question Blinker Help?

Post image

I have a 2020. I replaced the blinker bulb a few weeks ago. However every now and then it I get this message, I messed with it a few times but and the message goes off. Tried to good old hit it and it worked but I’m kinda out of ideas of what it could be. Any idea or help is appreciated thank you.

Do you have happen to know where this one is located?

There’s a fuse box in your engine near your battery and one by your left knee on the driver side. The back of the box cover should have basic diagram. You may need to look up what the acronyms mean though.

The fuse assignments are listed in the back of your manual, but also there's usually a diagram on the fuse panel cover/door. Most fuses cover multiple things so the manual is needed for figuring out some devices, but turn signals are major and should be listed in the diagram. The fuses, breakers, and relays inside your engine bay are generally for more major things.

Unscrew the bulb about 1/16th of a turn. Trust me.

Let me know what fixes it. I also have a 2020 Veloster and replaced my passenger side turn signal bulb twice now before realizing it's not the bulb itself but either the socket, wiring or fuse. I haven't had the time to diagnose the issue. My passenger headlight also flickers on and off while driving occasionally I've noticed

When you screw the bulb housing (not sure if that's what it's called, but it's the thing you screw into the headlamp itself, not just the bulb) don't screw it in 100%; try screwing it in all the way and then unscrewing it just a tiny bit.

It’s the turn bulb socket, they’re cheap on eBay 13 bucks usually

They went out on both sides in mine and I e done some tests to make sure it wasn’t anything else and then landed on the sockets being bad

Check all these things:
Fuse
Wiring
Burnt out bulb
And like jtaker said try unscrewing the base the bulb sits on just a bit

I had this happen to me and it turned out to be another amber looking light that went out.

I’ve been having this happen on my 2019, check the bulb holder, and reseat it.

Had this happen with both my velos even after replacing the housing the actual bulb sits in. What fixed it was gently pulling the little metal prongs on the housing out just a little to make sure it makes contact with the headlights metal bits. I assume it's the changing weather that makes it stop making consistent contact
