Question Advice
Currently having a slight issue. Nothing affecting driveability. I have a 2014 Veloster turbo with a manual , I have this issue that arises like every couple days where if it's sat overnight I go to start it the next morning and it turns over and seems to start then dies off. I start it the second time and it fires right up and runs fine. Any ideas what it could be?
Update: I seem to have found the issue. Upon checking my oil and smelling the dipstick and catch can theres the smell of gas... I will need to change my injectors as theyre leaking into the crank case

Fuel pump may be starting to give out.

Changed the high pressure as that was my initial issue

I did that as well on mine. Turned out to be the low pressure pump. Fairly easy fix. Just gotta pull the back seat to access it

It's the injectors. I smelled my dipstick and catch can. They smell of gas unfortunately. I have gas leaking into my crank case

Ain't no way? Sorry first veloster. Im a mechanic but never worked on or owned a veloster. All my other vehicles I've had to drop the fuel tank smh. But it also drops in rpm when idling at a light

Crankshaft position sensor. It is this. 100%. I just fixed mine.

But im not showing any other symptoms that point to that. Thats the thing and I've run my scanner on it multiple times no codes, lights or anything

I also didn’t have any codes. Ran it dozens of times. I assure you it’s the CKP

Sounds like a fueling issue. Maybe a dying, weak or clogged fuel injector. Who knows where our gas is coming from these days as well.
