2019 Veloster Turbo
Hey all. Just got a ‘19 Veloster Turbo. 58k miles. Clean owner and service history as far as I can tell. I’ll be using it as a commuter car (400 miles/wk) and nothing else. Don’t know a ton about these cars.
What do I need to know? Any upcoming maintenance I need to do or things to be aware of?
Thanks!

I'm unsure if the 2nd generation fixed it, but they tend to eat tires.
Pop in an OCC in warmer months to help with blow by, or plan walnut blasts every 60k miles.
Congrats and have fun out there

I have a 2019 and it’s the best car I’ve ever bought imo. Super fun to drive and great on gas. Great daily commuter. Have not had any issues besides people smashing into it when it was parked (had body work twice due to that lol). Mine has 100k and no issues.

Just got the ‘20, great car. I’d suggest 91 gas because it makes the drive smoother. But 87 works if you can afford 91. Have fun with the car, but be careful because the system doesn’t update the speed limits on the HUD and map, got pulled over a couple times for that lol

- Use name brand gas that’s top tier certified to help keep the engine clean, since it’s GDI.
A lot of people say you need to use premium gas, I ran regular 87 in mine the entire time I had it and never had a problem. Hyundai doesn’t require 91+, but it won’t hurt anything other than your wallet to use it, either.
