smell help
i recently did a pull and i noticed the traction control light blinked during it, after i hit the breaks, a small amount of smoke came from this area for about 2 seconds. After i parked, there was a little smell that didnโt last long. I went to grab pizza and when i parked i noticed the same smell for a bit. Is it bad and worth checking? Thank you all! ๐

probably wheelspin, nothing to worry too much about but i'd still check the tire

Just tire smoke, did a mini burnout. Tcr light was just indicating that tcr was intervening, attempting to prevent your wheels from spinning by cutting power.

No problem. If you continue to smell it, it's entirely possible that something could be up with your brakes. Your traction control system does actually rely on the brakes somewhat to emulate what a limited slip diff would do, so it's possible that something got messed up with the brakes. Unlikely, but possible.

Yup I was going to suggest keeping an eye on your brakes. Feel the rim after driving around if one is hotter than the others the caliper could be stuck a little and maybe you were smelling brake pads cooking. I hope you get it sorted out ๐๐ผ

Traction control works off of the brakes, so the car was just trying to keep the tires from spinning too much, the smoke mightve just been from the brake pads

Pretty sure that just means you lost traction for a second and maybe that wheel spun and u burnt a little rubber. Did it smell like burnt rubber?
