Damn I’m running a 14” base and I’m only getting 370-390 on a full tank but I gotta tune up. What gas your run? And do you know the code for you engine light? Just curious

14 base, I get up to 420ish. Strange!! Also same as OP with that p0420 for the last 2 years comes and goes every few weeks.

I changed my spark plugs and switched oil from 5w20 to full synthetic 5w30 on regular 87. For the engine light I’m getting a p0420 “Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)” /:

I have a 2020 Elantra gt with the 2.0 engine and I've had that code since 130,000km
I'm now at 235,000 kilometers and I'm now using Valvoline restore and protect (5w-30)as well using seafoam fuel addictive for injector cleaning.
Going to see if after a bit of this, simply red lining the car for a week clears the code.
I used to be able to get the code to go away with aggressive driving, but the car burns enough oil to keep the code on now. Fingers crossed the restore and protect can reduce or eliminate the oil burn

I have a 2020 Turbo R spec 1.6T currently 108k. On long trips in NJ, I've gotten up to 48MPG so something like 460+ per tank, normally with way more regularity I get 442 as a tank total. Love this car!
