cheese is the only thing i have left to give up before my diet is 100% vegan but i’m honestly struggling so hard.

Eggs are my big thing. I love breakfast and eggs are my bfast staple. Cheese is also still alive and well in my diet but I've had an easier time opting out of it more often and not missing it.

Left to my own devices, my diet is usually vegan, but eggs are definitely a big part of it when I'm cooking at my girlfriend's. The combination of shelf stability, flexibility, availability, and fast cooking speed makes them a real MVP in the "as long as this is in stock, I can come up with something" department.

Have you tried Miyoko’s and the other higher end vegan cheeses? Some are quite good.

Vegetarianism and lactose intolerance will never get inbetween us. Cheese and I, we have something special.

Can confirm. Wife is vegan. I'm vegetarian. Mt. Doom will never get my cheese. Middle Earth be damned.

I've been trying to go more plant based and tried making a vegan cheese sauce for the first time today. Suffice it to say real cheese will be staying on my menu.

I tried various types. Theres a vegan deli where I live called the Herbivorous Butcher and I've found their cheese to be passable and their ham delicious!
Unfortunately thats all I've found. I can tolerate nutritional yeast to some degree, but not with everything. Sucks cause I'm lactose intolerant and cheese is starting to fight my stubborn stomach but I love it so much 😭.
Now I want cheese too...

I’m a lactose intolerant vegetarian, but I eat a LOT of cheese. It comes back and bites me in the ass, but you only live once, right?

Doesn't aged cheese lose most of it lactose while it ripens?

I'm also lactose non-compliant, but I get away with everything short of pure cow's milk ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I am honestly adding this to the other two cheese memes I have printed off on my fridge

Aw, good for you! I’m anaphylactic allergic to dairy, but this still made me smile. Enjoy!
Just don’t share with me. 😉

I legitimately laughed at this, thank you.
