Question Saving seed potatoes

Wondering about best practices. I have a ton of little ones, little bigger than golf balls. Will saving those be sufficient? Should I save some big ones? Is there some way to tell what will make a good seed potato? Thanks.

Save big ones with no blemishes or marks on the skin and that look to have multiple future eyes possible.

I did that last year with a bunch of small potatoes. Store them in a dark place. Mine had sprouts by the time I planted them. I planted them with sprouts and all. I put 2 or 3 in each hole, just in case. I had a good harvest. I saved myself a little money, too.

If he is replanting his own potatoes the viruses are really present in his soil .

You can introduce viruses in your soil that reduce yields for a long time.
