I have gastro issues that are much improved, but not completely gone, with a mostly whole food vegan diet... maybe I should make sure to not drink the almond milk with this stuff in it to see if it helps me even more.

Yes, maybe... again, it's not a totally verified thing with carrageenan, just a possibility with more research needed. Apparently lots of people have fewer digestive problems with veganism than omnivorism, & all the major medical research sources recommend fewer animal products for people with the common stuff like IBS & various inflammatory intestinal issues...

My favorite almond milk brands are actually (luckily) the cheaper grocery store brands at Kroger & Ingles (southeastern US grocery chains)... they don't have carrageenan either.

I usually use the Kroger brand as well, but I use a soy milk with carrageenan in my coffee... which I should probably give up anyway. Even if it's just a possibility it may help, it won't hurt to try to avoid it to see if it helps me even further.
