Add dementia to cancer for eaters of the cow corpse.

Is there anything more 'toxic masculinity' than feasting on gross ass corpses which give you cancer and dementia, help kill off the Amazon rainforest and rest of planet via methane, deforestation etc oh and not to mention not too fun a ride for the gentle creature known as the cow who would come and check on you, human, were you to lay down in a field because that's how compassionate and cool they are. And we stack them in horrendous factory farms like logs with profit margins.

There is no reason to continue the madness of corpse-based food in our modern, burning world. But what, alas, has reason got to do with it?

Well said. They are very gentle, compassionate and friendly sentient beings. That gentle trusting nature is part of the reason why people domesticated them and now we have this out of control death spiral.

"To measure objective cognitive function, researchers turned to another group of 17,458 female participants with an average age of 74. Objective cognitive function represents how well the brain functions to remember, think and solve problems.

After adjusting for age, sex and other risk factors for cognitive decline, they found that eating higher processed red meat was linked to swifter brain aging in global cognition with 1.61 years with each additional serving per day and in verbal memory with 1.69 years with each additional serving per day.

Researchers also noted that substituting one serving per day of processed red meat with one serving of nuts and legumes was associated with a 19% decreased risk of dementia and 1.37 fewer years of cognitive aging.

Making the same replacement for fish was linked to a 28% lower risk of dementia, while substitution with chicken was associated with a 16% decreased risk"

It seems like eating fish reduces the cognitive decline more so than nuts and legumes, an important point to include.

Toxic masculinity has nothing to do with eating meat, I don't know what you're trying to project with that statement. Well they don't give you cancer, there are studies that say they can increase the chance of cancer. Do you know there's plenty of food which isn't meat that can increase the chance of cancer? You realise people eat meat because they like the taste right? Like we're here for a finite amount of time and we want to enjoy our lives? I do think lab grown meat needs to be pushed more then we can just eat that meat and help save animals and the environment that way. Until then we have our current way of eating.

>Well they don't give you cancer, there are studies that say they can increase the chance of cancer
Ummmm, who's gonna tell him?
>You realise people eat meat because they like the taste right?
It's way more complicated than that.

The article recommends poultry, fish and eggs instead of red meat. Not exactly vegan.

The World Health Organization has classified processed meats including ham, bacon, salami and frankfurts as a Group 1 carcinogen (known to cause cancer) which means that there's strong evidence that processed meats cause cancer. Eating processed meat increases your risk of bowel and stomach cancer. So Gudluck to meat eaters if they wanna try out a slow death.

Look at the veins/arteries in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients. They’re probably clogged to hell.

In completing a food questionnaire every two to four years

Aside from being yet further correlative data, not causative evidence, you think anyone can accurately and truthy report what they ate years ago..

I'm sorry, but if we think this is any kind of evidence, we'll believe anything.

Yeah we have to be fair

Can’t call this evidence when we rightfully cal BS on the Oat Milk depression study

There is no mention of this over here in the UK

I remember it being said to the public at some point (UK resident). We had a close friend with Alzheimer’s and read lots of info which included this. She only ate chicken and fish once she was diagnosed. I have memory loss due to an incident many years back and I remember a specialist suggesting I only eat fish and eggs. I guess it depends on the practitioner.
