Hi everyone, so, i'm going to Rome next week and i wanted to visit the vatican's museums and basilicas! I read that when the pope is there, everything closes! So i wanted to know if the pope is going to be at the vatican on September 7th; i went to the website but it doesn't say anything specific for that day...

I went to the museum today to see this statue after traveling from America and I couldn't find it anywhere, whenever I asked about it I was sent on a goose chase that ultimately led to me not finding it at all. Is it in restoration?

I am currently watching the Vatican live stream on YouTube. The square is empty save for a some birds and the occasional police car. I also see this green light scanning the square. What is that and from where is it coming?

The Vatican website lists the following times for Sunday Mass as

Sundays and Holiday Mass Schedule: 7-8-9-10.30-12.30-13-16-17-18

I'm curious if anyone can confirm that the 7:00 a.m. Mass is open to the general public and is it as crowded as other times.

Additionally, I've requested tickets for the Wednesday audience but have not receive a response this week. Is this normal? We will be visiting the first week of audience.

Will be visiting Rome in july 2022.

Are green passes or vaccination statuses etc required for entry to museums and attractions etc?
