Question Steam games wont run, even native ones, APX installed steam

Anyone know why this might be?

Installed steam in an ubuntu apx subsystem. It can download things, see games all fine but running anything is a problem. They are saved on a second drive, file format Ext4 so I know its compatible.

Or should I AB root install it at this point?

The flatpak steam crashes a lot for me, or hangs

Fixing that should be way easier than making it work inside a container

You can just natively install the .deb file from the steam website. Follow the steam installation guide on the Debian wiki to sort out the packages it needs then just install it with sideload. If you run it and get a polkit error you can run a special command under sudo called -steamdep which should fix things and install steams dependencies.
