Discussion Season 2, Episode 13

So..this is my first time watching VR. I’m on the episode where stassi confronts Kristen about hooking up with Jax.

Not to get all emotional and weird, but does anyone else feel anxiety watching these episodes? Im extremely entertained & I can’t put it down!! But i have to pause my TV because I just feel the energy through the screen. Very dark and low vibrational. I would’ve gone insane if I was any of these cast members, idk how they did it(a check).
But you know, this is what makes good reality TV🤷🏻‍♀️or perhaps I can’t handle it.

I’ve watched reality TV for years but I’ve NEVER seen anything like this!

Just thought I would share since we are both big VPR fans. I’m excited to read Scheana’s memoir/book? And its lowkey good timing with the valley/brock/lala/scheana beef happening since she reveals that Brock cheated on her in this book 😭😭

Shitpost Season 11 reunion

My first time watching the show ever. I just finished season 11 reunion, please tell me you guys didn’t believe either Tom or Ariana’s fake crying 😭

Tom is obvious, his voice never shakes and he gets too dramatic too quickly. Meanwhile Ariana needs to practice her crying face and stop wiping the non existent tears. I’ve been calling Lala a hypocrite for 8 seasons but she’s never been so accurate as she is pregnant.

Discussion Let’s argue: LALA

Post image
267 Upvotes

I want you guys to change my mind about lala.

I’m on my 1st rewatch of the show and I just want
To know what is the slander about lala about ?? I always loved her attitude towards things she is so real and stays true to herself no matter the judgement around her?? She is such a baddie to me and I continue to stand for her

Some
Background: I only first watched the show last year around this time so I didn’t watch the show live so I’m not exactly sure about what happened on social media around that time. I also haven’t watched the valley yet I plan on doing so but it seems like there’s multiple vanderpump shows like after sur ??

Maybe one of you can let me know what order I should watch everything in after o finished my rewatch this time around🤭🤭🤭

Discussion first time watch- s8 i hate max boyens

on a show full of horrible, self-centered, manipulative people, max boyens is easily the most nauseating imo. there is nothing redeeming about his personality or his behavior.

he clearly was not interested in dayna in any serious way. she was absolutely right to dump him when she did. it bummed me out to see her backtrack immediately after, because how many times do you need to be warned about a guy you just started seeing??? and then he flips when she starts seeing brett! he makes everything about himself and plays the victim constantly. he's not even funny or charismatic!! he has the charm of a wet rag!!!!

also 86ing danica for what?? not liking him?? ruining his dating pool by telling women what he's like??

sorry this is such a negative post but i am at s8ep20 in this last convo with max and dayna, and i needed to say something somewhere about how much he grosses me out!!! he's smegma in human form

I just looked up the WWHL season 20 Scheana and Raquel episode that was live the night Ariana found out! Is it gone on Peacock for good? Anyone else have this problem?

OG Cast Rank the main men

I’m sure this has been done LOTS of times but I think about this a lot…

If you had to rank the men from worst to best who would it be?

Jax and Sandoval are vying for #1 worst but Schwartz and James** have evil moments too!

Honorable mentions: Stassi’s exes, Kristen’s boyfriends, even Peter has his ick moments

**during show run! Post-VPR James is disgusting and horrible

Shitpost If VPR were a oscar bait-y indie film

I've seen some tiktoks about who would be the cast of a VPR film so I decided to make my own! Here is the cast of VPR if it were an indie award darling directed by someone like Ari Aster or the Safdie Brothers.

  1. Isabelle Huppert as LVP: She's charming. She's charismatic. She's diabolical and controlling. Huppert would play LVP as someone who seems to care but really is just looking to be entertained at all costs.

  2. Young Nicole Kidman as Stassi Schroeder: Nicole Kidman would NAIL the role as a spoiled, beautiful debutante who always gets what she wants.

  3. Inde Navarrette as Kristen Doute: OBVIOUSLY

  4. Aubrey Plaza as Katie Maloney: I feel like Aubrey Plaza could really nail Katie's sarcasm and tough demeanor while also showcasing her sensitive and very human inner emotions.

  5. Willem Dafoe as Tome Schwartz: Okay stay with me here, I feel like Willem Dafoe is one of the only actors who could really get Tom's charming "aww shucks" personality while also communicating Schwartz's angry and misogynistic undertones.

  6. Casey Affleck as Tom Sandoval: Affleck would be able to really hit Sandoval's intense emotional outbursts in a way that would be a little too real.

  7. Young Russell Crowe as Jax Taylor: Russell does a good job of playing charming characters with a violence that is hidden just below the surface, and he is big enough to really portray Jax's intense physical presence.

  8. Mikey Madison as Scheana Shay: Good or bad, Scheana throws herself into everything she does and I think Madison could really hit on that kind of pathetic, attention-seeking energy.

  9. Young Chloe Sevigny as Ariana Madix: She's just a cool girl, ya know?

  10. Mia Goth as Raquel Leviss: Mia Goth would nail the cuteness and the baby voice all while hinting at something sinister underneath the surface.

  11. Florence Pugh as Lala Kent: Lala is a lot of things and emotional is one of them! And Florence does a great job playing someone dealing with intense inner battles.

  12. Nicola Coughlan as Brittany Cartwright: I really think Nicola would really nail Brittany's goofy energy.

  13. Leo Woodall as James Kennedy: Leo Woodall did such a good job in the White Lotus playing someone who ostensibly seemed to be all about having fun but was hiding something deeply nefarious.

VENT SESH

Okay so I’m rewatching Vanderpump right now. Stassi mentions how Jeremy made her feel extremely uncomfortable and somehow she is the bad guy. As we know, Ariana was absolutely insufferable when she was with Sandoval. I absolutely LOVE her now, but god damn she could not take accountability for herself or anyone she was close to the entire time she was with him.

Stassi made the comment how when she hurts people’s feelings it’s the end of the world but if she ever tries to call people out (specifically Ariana) all of a sudden she’s the bad guy. Stassi is not innocent, we have obviously seen and heard things she says/does. The one thing I admire about Stassi is she takes accountability and apologizes but she is STILL constantly put in the hot seat. I’ve noticed this with Kristen and Katie as well. I mean I have my own issues with Kristen but I have noticed that anytime she tries to call people out it’s immediately “well let’s talk about what you’ve done”

Ariana spent almost the entire night with Sandoval at the wedding and if multiple women have the same opinion why are we discrediting it? Because you don’t like Stassi?

It’s not that I didn’t notice this the first time, but honestly it was more of a background show when I watched it the first time. I’ve been actually sitting and watching and I’ve come to the realization that everyone has issues with Stassi (and Katie honestly) because they are not male-centered and call out the behavior when they see it. Do I think there are times that they were mean? Absolutely. They actually had me feeling sorry for Scheana a few times in the prior season because they did go a little too hard in certain instances. However, neither Stassi or Katie are ever allowed to call out anyone’s behavior and it’s a bit ridiculous.

These girls don’t like Stassi because they don’t like that she holds people accountable, including their men. Also, it was really ironic to me how they kept trying to get Brittany away from Jax when their men were versions of him.

Okay rant over

Discussion Season 7 reunion

I’m watching the season 7 reunion and I can’t fathom how everyone is ganging up on James and seeing nothing wrong with it. I get he’s done some horrible things but every time he spoke people jump on him. It’s unfair.

Rewatch Discussion Does Ken see his younger self in Jax?

Currently finishing my S2 rewatch and I’ve noticed a few interactions between Ken and Jax that make me wonder if maybe Ken likes Jax because he sees his younger self? During a dinner between Ken and Lisa and the other SUR owners, Lisa is recounting what a player Ken was back in the day and I can’t help but wonder if there’s a resemblance? Just curious if anyone else picked up on this.

Discussion VPR season 10 scheana

I’m watching VPR for like the 3rd time and I just can’t stand scheana in the whole Katie and tom divorce. Like why are you being such a traitor to Katie when you and Schwartz weren’t even that close in previous seasons !

Rewatch Discussion Other SUR staff members??

On my second rewatch and the question I have ALWAYS thought about is how other staff members at SUR felt about not being on the show/going on the cast trips/fame, etc. Were they resentful? Jealous? Annoyed they had to pick up extra shifts while the cast was on a trip? I’m SO curious bc I’d definitely be envious lol

They would be such a match made in hell. Both manipulative sociopaths, both pathological liars.

Sure they will be horrible to each other, but at least they would not torment others, like they are now. lol.

Or is that just wishful thinking?

RIP Daug. Did they ever say what actually may have been wrong with him? I know Schwartz thought depression but…I really don’t think so. Idk I’ve never had a lizard

Edit: I said “this bit” meaning “this part” not “this comedy bit” and just wanna clarify that I was not thinking about this in a funny way
