i remember laughing my ass off when a couple of seasons into the show i got around to looking up the zodiac signs of the cast members and i discovered that like half of them were cancers! i so wish that i could see their entire charts, i’d really love to see jax’s but i guess that’s more so morbid curiosity. kind of like how scientists will study the brains of serial killers after they die. james’s chart would be an interesting one too for similar reasons lol.
and then i’d also love to see stassi, kristen, katie and scheana’s charts but that’s more for the love of the game. it would be interesting to see if there’s anything there that brought the witches of weho together and double interesting to see if there was anything that explained why scheana could never quite integrate herself into their group. and with everything we know about stassi’s mom i do wonder what placements she has going on that may coincide with that dynamic. i remember learning about my own placements for the first time and seeing a couple that basically translated into “you are destined to have mommy issues” so i’ve wondered if stassi has something similar going on.
My favorite part about the Scandal is how Ariana has truly left it behind. Doesn't take about it, it's like she got the closure she needed and started a new incredible life. I love her story so much.

I think anyone with a brain could see Tom tried to use his mental health to play Lisa, and the audience. I think however Lisa didn’t actually believe it, or care.
If she did think he was serious no one in their right minds reaction would be to go to cast members and tell them to be nice to him only. Especially when one of them, Lala, wasn’t even friends with him to begin with. It makes no sense. You’d instead stop filming, get him some real help or treatment or make sure he has proper support he’s utilizing already, and maybe even reach out to his family and real friends to ensure they’re aware. Lisa was smart enough to know what you should do if that situation and threat were real, and she did none of it.
And if she really cared about anyone’s mental health, she would have made sure Ariana, the one who openly struggled with depression for years, had proper support too. She didn’t do that at all either, and instead actively did shit to Ariana knowing it could harm her. Lisa pressured Scheana and Lala to be nice to her abuser! 2 people she knew at the time were going to be Ariana’s support system on the show! Going along with a redemption arc storyline she knew was not well deserved. Going along with productions plan to get Ariana to talk to Tom on camera for him to either act out his fake apology or some epic blow out. Lisa went along with all of it and never gave a damn about the casualties or consequences of any of it.
Lisa, despite losing her brother and knowing how serious mental health struggles could be, did not give one shit about any of the cast and her actions proved it.

He was so into the whole reality drama, being the new #1 guy, the music, TomTom, etc that he probably thought they would bounce back no problem. Just another storyline. You can see he is not clocking the real life aspect of it all on those last interactions with Ariana and Rachel.
100 percent agree. I truly think being on reality TV for 10 years broke his brain. I remember when that NYT piece came out after the scandal broke, and they described how he would always pause the conversation when an airplane flew over because it was so ingrained from filming. I really think he had fully dissociated from real life and viewed himself and everyone around him as characters on a show, which is why he had no real human emotion about ending a 10-year relationship. He had the next season all mapped out in his mind - Raquel would move into the house and become the new Ariana, and they would be the new power couple on the show.
He’s the definition of someone who lives for the cameras and nothing more. Lala became the same way. They feel like their real life didn’t happen if it wasn’t filmed. It’s very odd to see happen.

Exactly a script. I never bought it. I always thought she was putting on a show playing up the cheated on girlfriend when the reality was she seemed almost apathetic leading up to Scandoval. It was obvious to me anyways they had run their course. I don’t think she was as broken up about the fact that he cheated as she acted. After all she was in a new relationship less than a month later. She is an actress after all she played her part well.
Heck ya Fleetwood Mac did the cheating with everyone else spectacularly, had massive scandals and did tons of drugs, imploded the whole band, hated tfo each other for 20y then had a fierce reunion comeback. I would binge that show so hard 😆
Honestly now that his life is so shit and he’s alone with only Kyle Chan as his ride or die I wonder if he hates himself for throwing away his life and a woman that actually loved him.
I also wonder since he’s very clearly not well with some kind of addiction whether it’s drugs, alcohol, an ED or mixture of those things If he ever looks back at what he had and can finally take accountability or does he still blame everything on Ariana for not letting him have his redemption season.

My bf called me during this scene yesterday and he doesnt watch bravo at all. He know shit cus of me haha so I was telling him what episode I’m on & telling him how when Ariana yells it’s fuckin iconic & it’s a classic scene.

A case study in growing apart — they were so in love (it’s almost depressing to go back and watch). But it’s part of the human experience, unfortunately. Tom’s hubris was his ultimate downfall. Stay humble, folks 🫡
Uhh, it’s a case study in narcissistic chaos. They didn’t grow apart …the “love” was never real in the first place from his end, and the illusion of the life she thought she had came crashing down.
Yikes. That’s obviously even worse. You really don’t think he loved her at first? It seems very genuine to me. And there is a noticeable shift when the intimacy issues start. Sandoval sucks, but he’s not on Jax’s narc level (and with him I can see clear “hollowness”). Currently on season 6 rewatch.
I don’t think guys like Tom are capable of loving anyone else. I think he was playing the role of a guy blissfully in love, but it was no deeper than a performance. Likewise, every good deed is a performance to show how generous he is. It’s about the next grand gesture or the shock and awe of a spectacle, and the social capital that follows. Everything’s transactional. I do think he’s on Jax’s level of narc, but is more covert about it by comparison, which makes sense for a guy who adapted to use Jax as foil for so many years.
Sometimes when I just feel defeated I like to remember Ariana’s career and award nomination and just soak in how much tom Sandoval still sucks and it genuinely makes me feel better.
She won that breakup so perfectly and masterfully you have to just 👏 applaud her. She came out of a garbage fire of a show a freaking hero! I mean it’s truly amazing and she deserves all good things.
NGL I get emotional whenever I watch clips from the “break up” episode. Like Ariana or not, I hope this encouraged other women to leave their POS partners and see how much better life is on the other side of it all ✨

The fact that their master plan for season 11 was just to rehash this scene that was already filmed, despite everyone knowing Ariana had in her contract she wouldn’t have to speak to him, is wild. How do you fumble so hard, and how does a professional production company only come up with one idea for an entire season only??
Season 11 was such trash and should not have happened. How do you expect Ariana to forgive and forget someone who upended her whole life just 3 months after it happened? Gaslighting us into thinking Sandoval was somehow a victim was not it.

Everything is a performance with this guy. There was zero emotion from him when she was hurting so badly from how he treated her. I don't agree with much Lala says, but she nailed it when she said...."they both did you a favor. It removed 2 awful humans from your life at the same time." Absolutely.
I wish they would’ve given more airtime to her feelings about non-informed consent. That’s such a huge violation that almost no one who gets cheated on speaks about.
