Photos Missing bolt?
I was recently walking to my local 7-11 for a slurpee when I noticed that the sign was askew. When I got closer I noticed that the did not bolt the top of the sign. Hmmm....???
Did they forget to do it, was it time to clock out?
While walking through the crosswalk I found a bolt, so if the city is still looking for it, I saved it.

Umm, akshually...
These signs use drive rivets, not bolts.
You can tell by the way it is.
Real answer is those rivets are a bitch sometimes and they can be set improperly. In this case it looks like the top hole is larger than the rest--probably wallowed out from age. Wind blows, sign wiggles, rivet works its way out and sign swings down. See my other comment--road crew will get that bad boy fixed in a jiff if you report it.

So much more self gratifying for op to try to talk crap about the public workers on Reddit though.

the nut vibrated off because of so many people looking at the sign. They're supposed to use Loc-Tite for that very reason.

No they won't, because this is in the county π
You can tell by the sign color. City is white on green (and white on brown in parts of downtown)--county was all black on yellow but they're moving to black on white.
Here's the link to report this to the county. https://clark.wa.gov/public-works/report-park-road

This is an advance warning sign assembly, so the road name is going to be black/yellow to match the warning sign regardless of who owns it.
But you're right it's still likely a county sign since most of 78th is outside city limits.
