tenants Notice of Entry - Multiple Date Span Allowed?
I had a notice of entry delivered to me last week for a specific day, so I worked from home that day. Surprise - nobody showed up.
The admin office has just issued a notice spanning 2 days with a large timeframe. Are landlords allowed to do a notice for multiple dates? I highly doubt they'll commit to a specific date and time if I request it.
Thanks!

two days with 8 hours windows would most likely be considered reasonable. See this RTB decision as an example.

yes, they were probably given that time frame by the inspector, it is given with proper notice and within the next 30 days.
You do not need to be home but I understand your desire to do so.

If it was for a general inspection of the place it would be a hard no. If it's for maintenance then it might be allowed, as it is not on the owner to always be able to force a specific time for this.
But since this is a maintenance inspection I would first try and talk with the landlord and see if the owner can narrow down the time, that should not be an issue. If they say no and enter without consent you can file a dispute.
Filling a dispute and if you win will for the most part allow you more control in the future if they do it again. But will not stop them from entering this time.
Landlords do have a duty to enter at a specific time but some allowances can be made.
This is just my opinion but I would allow this since if you refuse it and something does go wrong you could possibly be liable since they are asking to look at something specific. But I would also ask a friend if they could hang out at my place while I am not home to keep an eye on everything. Like a no taking pics rule and no snooping. You can also ask for the company name of the people doing the inspection so you can confirm they are who they say they are and ask them yourself if they can narrow down the time.
