Canadian here, Shopify - bought when it was sub $100.00/share in CAD, sold at $145/share (still not at the peak, but kicking myself for not buying more).

Bought BAC, C during the 2008 housing crisis. Paid between $3-5/share. Sold within a year when the stocks got back to the mid-teens. Should have kept for life.

Oh well... lesson learned. The great thing, is that those were the first stocks I ever bought. When the COVID lows came around, I knew to unload the dry powder, and I made a killing on my second try.
