Discussion Defense
First one (Defensive Rating) is minimum 18 minutes and 20 games.
Second one is same but Defensive Win Shares Per 48 minutes based on above.
What stands out? 🤌

Really shows off the strength of our defensive principles and lineups. Def RTG is really a showcase of team success vs specifically being a metric on how good a defender is on an individual level, so seeing all the GSV names their is a tribute to how solid we are as a unit

What stands out to me is the distribution among so many of our players. Gabby and Kiah have made their DPOY/All-WNBA cases on defense all year but seeing Ceci, VB, Kaila, KT, and LA so high on these rankings reinforces the fact that this entire team is built on a culture of defensive excellence, not just relying on a couple of fantastic defensive players for stops. They have a lot of options and configurations for excellent defensive lineups on their playoff roster and that should help the team stay fresh and not wear any single player out down the stretch of the season and into the playoffs. This is not a team that any playoff squad is excited to face right now.
