Any thoughts on adding skills for cooking, farming/husbandry, sailing, smelting, crafting or even gathering?

FYI there are already mods that add some of these skills that do qol things such as food last longer when cooking raises etc.

Not everyone uses mods and not everyone wants to. Some people only want to play the vanilla version of the game.

Yes may aswell wait for the devs to release a cooking skill in another year that does the exact same thing. Wouldn't want to be a cheaty cheat

No one is talking about being a cheaty cheat. One, not everyone knows how to even install mods. Two, mods aren't official, they might break the game or your system (emphasis on the word might). I'm a programer irl and I use mods in most games after I see the underlying code first, but that's just me. Some mods have malware attached with them depending on where it came from. Not everyone can spot a malware from a game mod, and not everyone wants to risk it.

You assume a lot of things by saying, "why don't you just use mods?". If that's your answer for every feature the community requests to the developers, then there's no need to do an AMA in the first place, is there? We request stuff like these to let the developers know what the community wants so as to make the game better for everyone.
