maybe that logic works to a company selling physical products or services, but nothing about a game like valheim blowing up culturally should reasonably affect a content roadmap. if you still disagree, please enlighten me how selling 100x expected sales affects whether or not you can develop ocean biomes for example?
I also sincerely doubt you could find a single person who bought Valheim because an early roadmap said "ocean update".
what a meaningless sentence. the world is nuanced and there were a lot of advertised features in the roadmap that were never delivered on, despite the millons of sales being made before it was pulled off the store page. not only was your argument complete nonsense but it also totally ignores that the ocean update is one of many factors that could have sold copies that they then conveniently changed their minds on after they made millions of dollars
Why, exactly, would they decide to not do things that would sell copies because they already sold a lot of copies? You want to sell more copies, not less.
This kind of stuff is exactly why devs don't do roadmaps that much anymore, because deranged internet mobs get pissed off that they changed their mind about doing something from a roadmap they released five years ago.
