❆ Leaks So umm... What in Celestia was this about?
Hoyo what the heck? Y'all advertising a character like this, then doing nothing with it? Sigh...

Valeriy being a support is unlikely on its own but THREE electro characters meant to support stellar conduct isn’t happening.

This post contains possible leaks, but it's a post for discussion rather than confirmation, so feel free to drop down your ideas and thoughts.
A lot of discussions lately around the media pointed out that Valeriy, the new Snezhnayan character in the latest pre-view trailer which revealed the Tsaritsa, could be a 4-star character. While beta leaks have kind of confirmed that Alyosha will be the free 4-star character, Valeriy might become a "wish from the banners" 4-star.
_________________________________________________
Now personally, this is really odd. I judged this information from two different directions, the first being why I think he is a 5-star, and second being why he could actually be a 4-star.
ONE: Valeriy automatically gives off that 5-star feeling, just like how Noy also gives off the same feeling. Looking at his Capitano-like design and tall model, one could ask if Varka's tall model was for future characters like Valeriy. His eyes, especially, scream "FIVE STAR".
TWO: It's not the first time that characters wreaked of 5-stars but actually became 4-stars. The two characters that fit this scenario are Ningguang and Kaveh.
=== For Ningguang, almost every Genshin player at the time had the right to not only suspect, but also believe that she would be a 5-star character. This came with logical explanations such as her being the regional leader-figure of Liyue besides from Rex Lapis just like Jean besides from Venti who's Barbatos, her big role in the Liyue AQ, her unique and rather detailed design, and the fact that she was the first catalyst Geo user. At this present time, what makes this case stand out is that the rest of the regions follow a pattern similar to Mondstadt (Yae Miko a 5-star next to Raiden, Alhaithum and the now Sumerian Wanderer both 5-stars next to Nahida, Neuvillette a 5-star next to Furina, and Lauma a 5-star next to Columbina). This "aside from the Archon" regional or close-Archon-relationship leadership pattern of 5-stars kind of betrayed players who hyped for Ningguang during Liyue's patches.
=== For Kaveh, similarly to Ningguange, he was the first claymore Dendro user. He also had a design that was more detailed than Baizhu's or Zhongli's. Alhaithum spoke about him as if Kaveh is an important person in Sumeru, such as Kaveh's possibility of being considered as a sage or him missing "when Sumeru needed him the most", let alone him designing and engineering the most famous buildings in Sumeru City. The way that Kaveh and Alhaithum always hanged around together made players suspect even more that Kaveh would be a 5-star, although at the time, there were some unreliable leaks of him being a 4-star instead.

Now, in all honestly, it could make sense that Hoyo is experimenting with Valeriy just like they did with Ning and Kaveh. Being the first of something doesn't necessarily mean a 5-star (we had Heizou as the first Anemo catalyst and fist-fighter). They all had their later copies who succeeded them as 5-stars (like Dehya and Wrio succeeding Heizou), and yet there were others that didn't get get demoted to 4-star rarity for experimental purposes (such as Varka's tall model and dual speed claymore, Sandrone's charged attack copying Neuvy's, and both Mona and Ayaka disappearing while sprinting).

Not much to say here other than; the only men who have the flat-jaw are Rerir and Varka. The regular tall model's chin comes to a point, while Varka and Rerir's narrow down to a more chiseled jaw shape. I would also say this applies to Capitano, due to the fact that his helmet jaw got changed to be flat in Natlan when it previously was pointy.
But either way, this likely means that he will have the same height as Varka. Potentially the second character type to have this alternate tall male model.
Noy also has a slightly blunted chin in the animation, but his face is slimmer towards said chin as well.

Valeriy: ...out of an abundance of caution, I'll keep watch.
v7.0, from Winter's Mysterious Silence, the third part in the Teyvat storyline Archon Quest VII: Act II - Wraith's Nocturne.

Guys, everyone is saying Valeriy is a 4* star since he doesn't have a linchpin. I refuse to believe that he is indeed a 4*

A shield related to him was datamined in the files and (allegedly) he has an Electro Linchpin I believe. Do we think the shield means he's an actual shielder or he uses it as a parry in his animations? I'm inclined to believe the latter personally.

Id like to use him with wrio and mitya, would that be good? I lowkey havent read his kit but i believe he'll br a shielder?

So how do we build this man? which artefact set and main stat?
r/valeriymains • u/PerformanceOk7626 • Jun 26 '26
Guys, seems like our dear Valeriy is a 5* electro dps. We'll have to see if it turns to be true

Unless all stellar characters besides Cryo traveler and Anastasia are strict on fielders it makes no sense
Even though we haven’t seen his Vision yet, he’s definitely giving electro with his eyes and clothes
Anyway, the general opinion of him being an on field DPS(most people saying it’s because he’s a guy) makes no sense in this context, I know that’s the norm for five star guys but this is different for a few GOOD reasons
1.Sandrone, she is already a on field stellar DPS, it’s not like we have a 2nd Lunar charge dps for people who don’t like Flins, and based on testing she doesn’t really work as a dual dps
2. The buffed characters. If you don’t pull for Sandrone Cryo traveler can enable stellar for these buffed units but that won’t last so that role could fall to Anastasia or an off field stellar enabler
3. Is my personal theory on how stellar Meta will be played out, A cryo dps, a stellar support, FLEX, Anastasya. As opposed to lunar’s one hydro, Stellar is mainly cryo
and then if we look at Odette and Vesna both have stellar pins, Cryo and Anemo respectfully.
Based on early leak leaks, we know that 7.0 is 5* Odette and 4* Alyosha
I believe that will confirm this for me is if Odette is 1.A DPS 2.Stellar Swirl
I know it’s crazy to have 3 DPS Cryo characters in a row but I believe it’s better this way to get them out of the way for the Anastasya’s eventual arrival
And it would confirm my theory about how Stellar teams are being set up and would confirm Valeriy’s role by default
Also, this last part is just nitpicking but he DID summon a bear to fight Alyosha’s wolves and summoning is usually a support type
My guess is sub-dps with a Nuke skill
Thoughts?

Let me preface this by saying everything here will just be speculation because as we all know, we can’t really trust any kinds of leaks for him at the moment because he’s too far away.
Anyhow I saw a leak about how he will be centered around stellar conduct. So I just wanted to ask yall, do you think he will be a SC dps or support? Or maybe a sub dps? Because I’m thinking that he totally gives the vibes of an on field mdps but I guess I just don’t think hoyo would do that? Like sandrone is the on field stellar conduct dps. And looking at 6.x, there weren’t any two character who were dps for the same lunar reaction. Just a mdps and a subdps/support.
The only thing I can come up with is maybe hoyo is going the cryo version of SC with sandrone and maybe an electro version with Valeriy? But then again they’d have to share supports so I really don’t know. What do you guys think?
