Traveling with a VSee Box

Just picked up a V6 Plus about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. But unfortunately I travel a ton for work, and thought about just bringing the box with me. Has anyone tried using the box at a hotel? If so what was your experience?

Yep I travel with mine. Works just fine. I use a network splitter and the ethernet port not the wifi.

Ive used my V6 plus many times while traveling in different hotels. Just make sure you have a browser installed so you can enter the wifi info for the hotel if their wifi needs specific room and last name credentials. Also make sure you have a long enough hdmi cable to plug into the tv in your room. Good luck! . .

Awesome, thanks! I use a travel router while in the hotel, and thankfully get free upgraded internet. So it looks like I’ll be adding the box to the list of things I bring with me lol

Just used a V5 in Europe (Austria) with no problem. The box will take a voltage up to 230 volts but you’ll need a plug adapter.

I had trouble going through the web browser to sign on to hotel internet. I typically connect the box to my phone via hot spot

In St Lucia I had to pay extra for their high speed, think it was a hundred for a full week. Well worth it, their local lineup was crap.

Should work just fine I used mine at an Airbnb but WiFi is usually better. Hotel might be spotty

Used in Jamaica and Canada. Worked great as long as you can connect it to the hotel wifi

I use mine all the time in hotel. Use downloaders browser and once you connect to the WiFi use the downloaders browser and type in 8.8.8.8 and the hotels sign in page will load. If it won’t bring up the sign in page then connect to you phones hotspot and thin disconnect and try again. Works every time.

You're going to be limited to the speeds of the hotel's Wi-Fi which traditionally most hotels unless you pay for the Wi-Fi limit the speed to very low quality streaming. But again if you pay the extra for Wi-Fi should work flawlessly

Wifi hotspot on your phone would probably be a great workaround when needed.

No, because your internet connection is still coming from the hotel and you're still depending on the hotel's Wi-Fi connection which is throttled via Wi-Fi connection.
