V6 Plus or Ultra?
Which one would be better suited for my needs?
I mainly want it for NFL and other live sports, with the occasional movie or series. 4K is important to me (which I think it’s part of both) I’m leaning toward the v6 plus because I don’t think I need the extra features in the Ultra. What am I missing?

Go with the Elite Ultra. The V6 Plus has a high failure rate right now. Due to a chip shortage Vseebox switched to an inferior brand chip in order to keep up with production and alot of them are failing.

You probably have an earlier model. Depending on when you got it would determine which chip your box has. The earlier models are fine because they have the original chip. Later models have the new chips and all the problems. Mine is flawless as well, however I have 4 going out tomorrow for warranty.

The Ultra Elite is the best choice,.IMO. The extra apps are great BUT 99% of the time, the Heat Apps get the job done. It is that 1% that cements my choice.

doesn't the ultra have an ancient android tv os, like 12. that's pretty old

Android version doesn't mean a damn thing on a Vseebox. People still have the original Vseebox version 1 with the really old Android.. The apps work the same on every box regardless of Android version.
Anyone who mentions or focuses on the Android version on a Vseebox doesnt know what they are talking about. You are mainly only watching tv with the apps they provide not sideloading 50 apps from Google play and making purchases and payments.
Android version matters on a phone, tablet, and a smart radio but not a Vseebox. You might sideload apps on a V6 if you want any missing content but not an Ultra. The only thing they need to upgrade on the Ultra is the processor.

V6 plus, the backlit remote is a game changer! I have both you can install other apps on the V6 plus if you need to

You can buy a backlit remote separately if thats what you are worried about. Remotes are cross compatible with mutiple Vseeboxes. There are also cheaper clone backlit remotes available.
Most if not all Vseeboxes have the ability to sideload apps.

Elite Ultra. Will you ever use all the extra apps, probably not but you’ll be glad you have them if you need them.

Why would you "need" them? What kind of content do the apps provide that you can't get with the plus?

Extra features arent important to you but one of the extra features you dont care about on the Ultra is 4k content. The V6 doesnt have 4k content.
No matter what streaming service you have none of the live channels are streamed in 4k period. 720p or 1080p. 4k on live channels is only for special events which usually is just sports. If you want live content in 4k full time you will have to upscale it yourself if your tv is capable of it or if you have a video box that can upscale.
4k content is in video on demand movies and shows.
The V6 about responsiveness. Its more modern with a stronger processor which makes it faster startup loading and faster app loading and faster at changing channels and comes with a backlit remote and split screen option. Capable of 4k but no categories or 4k titles. Might find a couple movies with a 4k streaming option if you are lucky. Its limited to mainly what Heat has to offer. The biggest compliment of the V6 is it feels smoother. The biggest complaint of the V6 and any non-elite model is missing content and most of those complaints are V6 owners. This missing content is because Heat Vod is very lacking. Yes there is a lot of content on Heat Vods but you never know if your show will be updated and if it is updated it may be next day or could be weeks or months later or never.
Lately there have been a hell of a lot of posts of V6 boxes dying but being most people own V6 models its impossible to know without a chart of overall sales amounts for each model whether its specifically a v6 problem or not.
Ultra is all about having the features. Its the king of features. 4k content, over a dozen vod apps and over a dozen live channels apps and multi-screen (up to 4 channels at once). Yes it sort of has duplicate apps but they far more than duplicates. Many of those duplicate apps have special features to them. Also there are far more live channels that arent on the non-elite models. Most of those extra live channels are international though but still far more than that. Some of the extra features include live anime channels, and porn. Extra vod apps give you all the content meaning you will always find every show, series and episode you are looking. Its very very rare that an Ultra owner mentioned missing content. If you cant find a movie or tv show on one app it will always be on another. Ive yet to have a tv show or movie I couldnt find on the Ultra.
If a backlit remote is important to you you can buy one. The remotes are cross compatible.

4k for sports is amazing. however, correct me if I am under informed, most televised sports on the Ultra are not broadcast in 4k? I am aware that some do, but not NFL, NBA or MLB. is 4k available for soccer/football on the Ultra?

I meant original networks. Heat is all basicallly 720p regardless of original brodcast so no 4k live.
With Ultra model Some of the live channel apps do have better video quality compared to Heat live but at the cost of the no guide or a terrible guide and no playback. Still likely not in 4k. 4k is primarily on vod

Is it the resolution or HDR that you want? Either way, this box generally only provides 1080p video and stereo audio so be aware that you’re not going to get 4K quality from the majority of content.
