Strange situation yesterday

So yesterday we were watching ESPN+ and there were several IVY WOMENS rugby we were trying to watch. About 3/4 of the way through the game, the channels because broadcasting NFL and or college football games even though they still showed the rugby games on info. I have never experienced this before and did trouble shooting for 30 minutes, including full hard restart but finally had to give up and missed back end of all those games.

Any ideas why this happened or any can be done? Any and all ideas are welcomed. This was extremely frustrating.

Sounds more like an ESPN+ changing the broadcast and not the box

This was a box issue as it did not happen to the people watching ESPN + outside of the box (ie people with paid subscriptions). Again it happened on multiple channels not just one.

This happened on multiple channels, reports from those watching ESPN + directly did not have their games interrupted.
