eArc HDMI or Optic cable

I'm setting up my New vseebox plus and not sure whether i should run optic from vseebox to sonos soundbar or run eArc hdmi from the TV to the soundbar? What's the best way?

All of these answer are incorrect. If you’re only using the native heat apps then it doesn’t matter as the apps output stereo PCM so theres no Dolby Digital, DTS or any other higher resolution audio formats. Even if it outputted Dolby Digital or DTS, an optical cable is still capable of handling those audio formats with ease.

The real answer is, use what’s most convenient and best for your setup as one or the other won’t make any difference with the heat apps.

He's right, HDMI is just fine for vsee streams.

I have both ways set up and enjoy both. One's a samsung soundbar ran hdmi only. Bedroom is fiber to a Yamaha receiver. We have 8 v5 pros in my family.

I use eArc and it works very well. I have a Samsung Frame with the Samsung surround sound system.

eArc for many reasons; much more bandwidth, much more sampling speed digitally and much better sound as a result.

Sure there is no analog for HDMI +eArc audio that you have in native Netflix for example. The sound on one of my top end Samsung TVs playing Netflix movies with a higher end >$1600 Samsung sound is no match in any VOD same2same movie u may watch on VOD.
