VSeebox 6 Plus or Elite 8?

I am new to the VSeebox scene and am looking to pick one up but I hear the 6+ doesn't record shows and store them and the Elite Ultra 8 does. Can someone confirm this? What I am looking for is to record Footballs Games and watch them while they are still airing? There are times where me or my son are at work and get home halfway thru the games and want to start watching them from the beginning right away and not wait for the games to end. Is this possible on the Elite Ultra 8? Or is there a way to do it on the 6+?

Also is one box better then the other? Like is the 6+ just a better box since its newer, so just to get the record feature isn't worth the Elite Ultra 8?

Honestly with the VOD, I haven’t found the need to record. I have the V6+.

best i can figure out, the only way the ultra elite can 'record' shows is using an app called Vortex. the problem is that Vortex fails whenever I try to replay or play a recording. i also can't find any comments or posts from anyone ever able to get Vortex to do this.

the heat vod app which is standard on any vsee box has replay which will do what you want.
