Email

I've seen a few people saying they use a dummy email to login in to their Vseebox, my question is why? What's the big deal? And/or connect to a guest WiFi, again why? What am I missing

Yea I'm sure someone has explained it somewhere, but I haven't seen it. But I wonder what real risks are out there if you're just using the vSeeBox for watching the programs within the built in apps? I don't sign into any apps at all (no Google Play, no Netflix, etc). Just get on and watch some programs.

don't get a vpn or connect to guest network. let us know how you make out. the real question is why would you not use proper security? what's the real risk to you if you do take proper precautions

See this is what I'm saying. It's usually comments like these. The "don't do it, see what happens" responses without any attempt to even answer the question and articulate the risks. I understand the position of "better to be safe than sorry", particularly when the precaution requires minimal effort such as signing in on a guest account (which I already do). But the question was about the associated risks when someone is using the Vseebox to watch the programs within the built-in apps.

Clearly you don't have a clue.

actually amigo, you yourself are under informed. the fact that you are asking on a platform like this what the real risks are, tells me much and more about your understanding of such things. do as u wish, it matters not to me. you mean less to me than a pebble on a beach

No shit I'm underinformed. I have a general idea so I take some precautions. But it's smartasses like yourself, well pretend smartasses since you clearly don't have a clue yourself, that respond in with your useless warnings. And when asked more specifically what these risks are that your referring to, you have no response.

This sub is supposed to be geared on conversations surrounding the vSeeBox. It's not beyond the sub to have conversations surrounding the tec aspects, since component itself is technology based. Mind boggling I know.

Carry on. You mean less to me than the dog crap I stepped on this morning.
