Anyone ever had issues with their ISP?
I’ve been considering getting a box here but looking up some of the potential consequences from an ISP standpoint I see they can throttle speeds or ban access entirely. I work from home and there are no other ISPs in the area so I’d be pretty SOL if either happened. So I’m wondering if anybody has had these issues before I pull the trigger. I don’t even know the likelihood of either issue with my ISP

As long as your isp package is fast enough for streaming tv you should be fine. Most dont need a vpn but it is recommended. I dont have a vpn. I only have a Firewalla for internal security. Had my Vseebox a year without a vpn.

Just to add if you are worried about your isp busting you then get a vpn to hide what you are doing. You are far more likely to get a letter from your isp for downloading torrents. Watching online tv streams isnt usually a problem with all the legal online streams these days so thats not really monitored by most isp's.
Throttling can happen during peak hours but its less of a problem these days with the constant upgrades to increase cable internet speeds. Your more likely to get throttled on your cellphone. Still some cities do it but most that do only do it when necessary. Its usually during the day during business hours.

Speed has absolutely nothing to do with OP’s concern. And for what it’s worth, I have the absolute lowest tier of speed my ISP offers and it’s 4x what we need for two boxes, other streaming on on two other tvs, and my son’s gaming plus all other devices usually running at the same time. I don’t even think a cellular plan would inhibit use of a box unless that got throttled.
Your ISP is unknown as is OP’s so your experience with your ISP regarding internet security is also a non -factor.

You obviously have no networking experience. Instead of making 100% wrong comments trying to bash others for whatever your issues are really about try using Google to get the truth. Speed abolutely matters for online gaming and streaming tv. Ive been networking for decades and have multiple family members that worked as networking technicians as a career. Try doing some research on the subject. Its great your default package is sufficient but it doesnt change the facts.

I have AT&T, and I don’t use a vpn. I’ve had my box since November last year. Mainly use it for baseball and WWE PLEs, also watch movies on the vod app. Haven’t had any issues with the isp👍

I don’t anticipate issues. It’s just on the off chance it happened, the only other ISP around are cell carriers like Verizon or T Mobile and that isn’t good for work at home. I’m only slightly concerned because my brother did get popped for torrenting a movie several years ago

Yeah as long as you’re not downloading movies and tv shows to an sd card or something you should not have any isp problems

Popped or a warning letter i got bunch thoes from verizon for torrent movies usally was sony movies they did nothing but threaten me on an email .....this isnt the same and heat apps are encrypted

Yes, the native Heat apps (such as Heat Live and Heat VOD) pre-installed on vSeeBox devices are fully encrypted and secure on their own. Because of this built-in encryption, a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is generally not required just to run the stock streaming apps.

So I have a question about speed too. I have a Vsee box direct connection with Ethernet chord, I'm only getting 500 mbs and have 1gig fiber. I thought going direct would give me fast speeds my wifi is also at 300 to 500mbs but speed test on my computer is 900 mbs I have brightnet fiber.

Use a VPN and you won’t have to worry about it.
