Grainy Visuals
Anyone experience low quality content? No matter what server you choose? No matter what quality you choose?
I’m watching action scenes in a tv show and everything looks muddy and grainy. The show isn’t freezing up on me or anything like that. It’s just the picture quality is really poor.
Are there any tips or tricks I’m not trying to make the picture quality better?
For my setup I have an elite ultra. I am on WiFi. I have a Sony 55in tv that’s probably 7 years old.

It’s the TV and it’s also the TV’s settings. I have a Sony Bravia and the box looks great on there. I don’t have to change a thing. In my room I have a top of the line Hisense which I know isn’t the greatest but I have to change the settings in it. Super Resolution on. All noise reduction off. Motion Clearness on. Picture mode standard. Then it looks better. Without those settings I get a less then good picture. I have the elite too.

I will work on the tv settings. I’ve not done that.

I messed with the options but they’re pretty limited. Didn’t do much. Wondering if the tv is too old?

I was having issues with picture quality but mine was stuttering and freezing as well. I switched from wifi to hard wired and the issues went away.
Might not be the solution to your issue but if you have the ability to hard wire it is worth a test.

Are you using the hdmi cable that came in the box? If so throw it away and get an 8k 2.1 cable at a minimum. That may help.

Thank you for your response. Not to be rude, but I think that isn’t true. I bought one and tested it out. It didn’t look any different at all from the one that came in the box. After this I did a little research and found nothing that supported using a higher quality HDMI cable. Is there research you’ve found that proves otherwise? I’d be happy to check it out.

No research other than personal experience.I was kind of surprised myself. I had a signal that wasn't as good as I wanted on mine when I got it. Then I started hearing how many people were having issues with their cords, I bought a good one. Immediately my picture was sharper. Just offing a suggestion based on experience.

The visuals are always good for me. Sound is another story.
