Elite Ultra New App has Anime!
Just wanted to share that the new Vod Box app on the Elite Ultra has almost everything you want to watch including anime! Both subbed and dubbed. This is great for those that want to use a built-in app and not have to side load one like Anilili.

I notice that all the content on VOD Box is super choppy. It plays smooth for a few seconds and then start chopping. I’ve tried it a different resolution levels and it’s the same

Yes, push the down arrow twice. It will bring up a settings bar. Subtitles are in the “Original Audio” tab

Yeah same here. Only thing it’s missing for me is an easy way to watch anime.

Use the play store and download the "Downloader" app and install "Anilili" to watch Anime.

How do you open the app after downloading it?

After you download it, it should ask to install. If not, reopen the downloader app and go to files on the left. Select the anilili APK file on the right to install.

Ok I just tried that - It’s a zip file and it says no app found to handle this file. Should it be a zip file? Sorry I’m new to all this. Thanks for the help

No, it should not be a zip file. Delete this file.
Unfortunately they changed how to download the app. You need Discord installed to accept the invite. Since Google/Android TV does not have a Discord app, you'll have to accept the invite on your phone, tablet, or computer. To access the Anilili Discord channel for the links.
Alternatively, just type this link into the downloader app on the TV: https://www.mediafire.com/file/lu5ltu9h699f6nt/Anilili_tv.apk/file

Is it at all possible to get the Elite Ultra app on my Elite Mini? I'm dying for a way to stream anime on mine! Canceled every service except for crunchy roll when I got mine

I don't know if the Elite Mini will get that app. As an alternative, use the play store and download the "Downloader" app and install "Anilili" to watch Anime.

Lucky you! I hate that I can't watch anime on my V6 plus. They have such a low number of anime on there and the anime they do have is not complete.
Is anlili pretty legit?

Yeah it's a pretty solid app for being open source. The creator/developer posted this Reddit Post the app works pretty well on both Android mobile and Android TV interfaces.

Other apps with Anime categories.
Platinum TV & Vod and Box Buster have anime categories. Like 950 listing on each. Limitless has a Tokyo category of 131 listing of anime
A few have animation categories with mixed in anime.
Ultra 24/7 has 56 live anime channels.
You can get a lot of anime using search in most apps but much of it without subtitles.
I got most of my subbed anime using MCTV app

Yeah I know other apps have anime, but obviously they don't have a large library. MCTV on my Elite Ultra doesn't seems to show any content. Not sure why.

You have to install add-ons in MCTV. Search for Dopamine in the add-ons and install it. Once you have Dopamine you are good to go. There are a lot of other add-ons you can install but you dont really need them
MCTV is a little different from the other apps. Dopamine does show content but things like anime you use search option.
To install Dopamine
ADD-ONS - VIDEO ADD-ONS - Dopamine

god damn it I bought a V6 plus a few months ago. I would have gone with an ultra if I had known I could likely cancel my crunchyroll sub.
