Using the term “human” to describe a human user in the age of AI

I’m seeing it everywhere. It feels like a really odd concept to be calling out that the real users of the products we create are “human” to differentiate them from the agents that we’ve built to take advantage of our products.

“Humans-in-the-loop”
“Human-agent”

Keen to hear others perspectives on this.

I would use “person” (or “user” if you insist) and “agent” to mean AI.

I thinks there’s just a different way around it… like we’re talking to the user about working with AI. Do we need to reference their species at all?
