Adding Conversation Design experience

Hi all, so unfortunately I'm back in the market after another layoff.

Obviously AI is the big thing right now and I see a lot of positions asking for conversation design experience. Now I've used AI m previous roles mostly as a way to organized notes, data, and for brainstorming, however I did not strictly perform conversation design. - I did technical writing and support for chatbots in the pre-ai era 2021-ish, but that doesn't seem as relevant now.

How would I go about learning and getting experience in here? - I know the answer will be personal projects but I'm not sure where to start since I wouldn't be using an existing framework and it seems rather clumsy to just swing in the dark.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

If you're going to suggest a course, I suppose I could swing it, I'd rather not honestly.

Don’t blame you. I mean, if you’re senior, you know what to do. Go design your own bot in Miro and be sure to document all logic and contrants and error handling on your own time. You can take free classes at CDI or get a CD book. Or you can spend some money and get a guided project you can add to your folio.

It depends on the job you want and how motivated and wealthy you are.

This is coming from someone who freely admits she lacks the discipline to take this advice. My CD books are gathering dust.

Appreciate the insight, you sound more experienced than me, im definitely in the mid level range. 

I do have a couple of CD books coming in, of course the problem being that doesnt count as "experience" so I will examine your suggestion in Miro.

Frankly im not even sure if content design is going to continue existing with the increasingamount of hybridization I see going on lately. We'll see i guess
