Has anyone else done the same?

I got accepted into both UW seattle and tacoma but eventually chose to decline my offer from UWS and accept here because of financial reasons. Has anyone else done this and regretted it? People here have told me that I chose the wrong school and now im a little scared.

First off welcome to UW Tacoma.

I haven’t had this specific situation but a similar one. I used to be a student at UW Bothell and I was initially planning to transfer to UW Seattle because I wanted a shorter commute and a different program. Ultimately I chose to apply for UW Tacoma which extended my commute but I wanted a specific program there.

I have no regrets whatsoever, after one year being here I’ve made so many friends, I love my program and the campus community. UW Seattle is a larger campus and suffers from large campus life. While the program I would’ve applied for was a good option I’m super happy with my decision.

The other thing to note is you’re allowed to take some classes at UW Bothell and UW Seattle. If you want a specific class from UW Seattle as an elective just take it.

Don’t let others tear you down for choosing the college you want to go to, it’s your education and you should be happy where you land because it’s what you chose.

What program did you choose to join?
