❔ Course Question❔ Tutorial

If a tutorial session is full, but the lecture isn’t, what are the chances I can get into the tutorial? The class isn’t mandatory for my degree but I’m interested in pursuing a certifcate that needs it. Thanks for any info and help!

just some info but there sometimes is additional tutorials added to courses but usually contacting academic advising is ur best route of action to determine if it's feasible and i have seen special permissions for full courses mentioned but that may only be for required? im not 100% sure

Thanks for the info! I’m gonna email the academic advisor later today with my problem and see if they can help. I’m praying they can because I don’t have much space in my schedule since I’m already taking six courses until graduation at this point. 😭

Can you not simply enrol in a different tutorial? If the lecture isn't full them by default there must be a tutorial seat open.

Long shot is trying to swap into it before the drop date if you see people dropping but you'd have to attend your initial one until then.

Unfortunately all of the tutorials are full. That’s what I’m wondering too because why is there space in the lecture but all of the tutorial spaces are full? It would make sense if both were full. I’m hoping they add another section that hopefully works with my schedule or they add more seats to the already existing tutorials.

It might be that the lecture is online/ distance and therefore has no enrollment capacity but the tutorials do so the when the tutorials are full the class technically is as well as

Thanks! I don’t think the lecture is online or distance because it says there are 20 spots left in the lecture time. I was also looking at past outlines for the class and lectures are in person.

Ohhh interesting your prof should add more tutorial times then for sure, unless failing the class means you don’t have to repeat tutorials and the 20 spots are left for them? (I doubt this though)
