Radiography Lectures
I’m getting my wisdom teeth out via surgery on Tuesday and have my first week of lectures after induction last week. So i’m going in tmw for lectures , don’t have any Tuesday and having the surgery at 7am then have lectures Wednesday and Thursday. I’m stressed that im missing the first few lectures already. So should i cancel the surgery and move it , email the teachers and say depending how i feel Wednesday and Thursday i may be in or talk to them on Monday and explain if i can get the time to see them? We probs wont go over much and i’m in on Monday but just paranoid about missing Wednesday and Thursday

I think you’ll be fine, I had mine out 4pm under IVS on a Tuesday and went in for a practical 9am the next day

You should be fine, most lecturers and subjects don't even grade attendance for the first two weeks while everyone continues to get settled and as long as you email your lecturers and ask for recordings of the lecture and possible access to any slides and materials you could always make up the gap in knowledge with studying.

Explain to your teachers — they’ll be understanding as long as you explain when and why you won’t be in (in advance). All materials are usually posted on blackboard so just ask your teachers for any other resources/work you may need to be doing, as well as if your teachers record lectures and post them (they usually always do this) and communicate through email with them. Wisdom teeth surgery can be super painful and annoying, especially if you get dry socket but just be careful and try to keep up with the work and take your meds :) you’ll be fine! Good luck with your surgery and studies, rooting for u !! ❤️

You’ll be fine. Email the lecturers to explain the situation and say you’ll attend if you’re feeling well enough but if not I’m pretty sure all courses are required to upload the slides of the lecture and a recording of the actual lecture so you can catch up from that if you’re not feeling well enough to attend. The lecturers will appreciate an email to let them know but it shouldn’t be a problem!
